Science and Technology in AE

Architectural engineers rely on technology to support their trade in several ways. Recent technological advances in computers and computer aided programs such as AutoCAD and Pro Engineering enable outlines and plans for buildings and structures. Heavy machinery is used for the actual construction of the plans, and like the latest programs and fastest computers, the newest machinery is always desired. Cranes aid tremendously in the timely completion of construction. The development of steel has created a greater demand and supply of modernly developed cranes. Throughout history constructing and designing has taken ingenuity and access to the best cranes possible. The Egyptian pyramids, Eiffel tower, and the still under construction, Burj Dubai have all taken the most technologically advanced tools to engineer; otherwise, why would they not be built before their time?
